Fans came to blows early in the first-half of the fixture and police officers and stewards rushed to the scene as supporters were pictured and filmed throwing punches at each other. A video captured by one supporter in the home end shows a number of home fans rushing down the stairs to get involved in the brawl. Chaotic scenes can be seen in the distance as the fight breaks out. They finally managed to get a grip of the physicality and attention quickly turned back towards the pitch as the Sheffield United fans were escorted out, according to the Irish Sun. There was not much for the home fans to celebrate though as David McGoldrick scored twice for Sheffield United before Ends Stevens made it 3-0 before half-time as they continued their promotion push with a routine win. As things got out of hand one fan posted on social media: 'Sheffield fans in the home ends.
