Hudson-Odoi had started Chelsea's last four Premier League games before picking up the freak injury against Burnley on Monday night, curtailing the progress of his breakthrough season. Instead, the England youngster - who made his senior international debut at the end of March - will focus on returning to fitness in time for the start of next season. Although Chelsea fans will be devastated to have seen Hudson-Odoi pick up his injury, his absence may scupper a proposed £40million summer move to Bayern Munich. He was linked with a move to the Bundesliga in January and, although it didn't come to fruition, Bayern were likely to go back in for the starlet when the window reopens at the end of the season. Hudson-Odoi, though, will now have to turn his attentions to getting back to fitness now, with a rough period of rehabilitation expected to be three to four months. His injury is not only a blow to Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea, but also Gareth Southgate's England squad ahead of the Nations League finals. Hudson-Odoi would have been likely to earn a place in the Three Lions group for the tournament in Portugal, with Holland the semi-final opponents on June 6.
