With Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler rested for that game after stints at the IPL, Billings was pencilled in to keep wicket, but will undergo a scan on Friday. If, as seems likely, he is ruled out of the Dublin trip, the selectors will have to decide whether to draft in Bairstow or Buttler, or hand an ODI debut to Ben Foakes, who was dropped from the Test side in St Lucia in February. Sam Billings dislocated his left shoulder playing for Kent and will undergo a scan on Friday England's 15-man World Cup squad, plus Jofra Archer and Chris Jordan, are due to meet up in Cardiff for a three-day training camp at the weekend, but several are nursing niggles. Jason Roy (back spasm) and Tom Curran (calf) both missed Surrey's Royal London Cup game against Middlesex on Thursday, while England captain Eoin Morgan also sat out the game because of sore shins. Kent's Joe Denly is also recovering from a back spasm, while Alex Hales is expected to join team-mates in Cardiff, despite missing games with Nottinghamshire for undisclosed personal reasons.
