The 37-year-old suffered the medical emergency on Wednesday morning and was rushed to hospital, where he is now in a stable condition. Despite the immediate concern over Casillas' health, Conceicao said during his pre-match press conference on Friday that the extent of his condition was not obvious at first. 'We were training and Iker was doing another type of exercise, so we kept training for another 15 or 20 minutes. 'But when the doctor told me what had happened around 30 minutes later we were immediately apprehensive.' It was revealed on Thursday that Porto are expecting Casillas to retire from football following the scare. Casillas' agent, Carlos Cutropia, told Spanish radio that they have not discussed his future, but Porto are reportedly ready for their No 1 - who has another year left on his contract - to end his playing career. According to Marca, Porto are focusing on making sure Casillas can live a normal life after such a serious incident, rather than on returning to top level sport. Despite his deal running until 2020, there is a strong chance that Wednesday's events will bring to a close what has been one of modern football's most stellar careers.
