Hales has also been ostracised by the England squad, with one-day captain Eoin Morgan accusing him of disregarding the team's values and speaking of a 'breakdown of trust'. But Newell, Hales's county boss at Nottinghamshire, said: 'As a character, I don't see Alex as the bad boy of cricket at all. 'His relationship with our dressing room is very good. 'The lads here enjoy his company. He has served his suspension, he is very contrite and we are going to work together to ensure it does not happen again.'
