Aidan O'Brien became the first trainer in almost 200 years to land three successive runnings of the Qipco 2,000 Guineas as Magna Grecia gave him a 10th win in the first Classic of the Flat season at Newmarket.
The 11-2 shot, ridden by O'Brien's 20-year-old son Donnacha, hit the front two furlongs out and stretched clear of Richard Hannon-trained 66-1 outsider King of Change.
Both colts were part of a three-horse group which raced alone on the stand's side rail headed by pace-setting eventual sixth Shine So Bright.

The last trainer to achieve a hat-trick of wins in the 2,000 Guineas was James Edwards, who won the race four year's running from 1834 to 1837.
O'Brien, who landed the race in 2017 with Churchill and 2018 with Saxon Warrior, is the modern-day dominator of the Guineas, a race he first won in 1998 with King Of Kings.
