A lucky snooker fan has scooped a huge £8,000 following the first World Championship victory of Judd Trump, by placing a bet on the Bristol-born star when he was just eight years old.
Trump, 29, dismantled John Higgins in a scintillating final set at the Crucible to claim the World Championship for the first time in his career.
But one fan, who had witnessed the progress of the snooker star from the early days, was able to cash in on his hunch that Trump would make it all the way to the top.
