The British women's 4x100m relay quartet suffered an embarrassing elimination in the heats at the World Relays in Japan on Saturday after a botched changeover.

The four of Kristal Awuah, Desiree Henry, Ashleigh Nelson and Daryll Neita were expected to make Sunday's final comfortably, with 11 relay medals between them across Olympic, world, European and Commonwealth Games level.
