John Gosden says instinct tells him that Too Darn Hot doesn't have the profile of a Derby horse ahead of the colt's reappearance in Thursday's Dante Stakes at York, a pivotal contest in the build up to this year's premier Classic.
The unbeaten colt, which runs in the colours of composer Lord Lloyd-Webber, is one of the few barriers to an Aidan O'Brien-trained avalanche of well-bred colts heading to Epsom on June 1 which will include Saturday's RaceBets Lingfield Derby Trial winner Anthony Van Dyck.
Too Darn Hot, the top rated two-year-old in Europe last season, missed his comeback in the Greenham Stakes at Newbury last month because of a leg issue that also forced him out of the 2,000 Guineas.
