Gareth Southgate will stick with his big guns when he names his UEFA Nations League squad on Thursday despite the huge disruption caused by English football's European clean sweep.

The England manager will resist the temptation of dipping into the burgeoning Under-21s talent pool even though he will be without a number of his most important players for the vast majority of his side's Nations League preparations after Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal reached the finals of European football's two main club competitions.
