Police are investigating an incident at Fratton Park on Thursday night where a fan appeared to kick and punch Sunderland defender Luke O'Nien

The player declined to press charges after the ill-tempered League One play-off clash and no arrest was made at the ground.

O'Nien went tumbling over the advertising hoardings and into the stand following a challenge with Tom Naylor in the second-half at Fratton Park.
