Stradivarius showed it will take a lot to prize the stayers' crown from his grasp with a three-quarter length win from Southern France in the Yorkshire Cup.
It was a second success in the race for the John Gosden-trained colt, who is now 6-4 favourite to also land the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot for the second year running.
Last season Stradivarius landed his team a £1million bonus by adding wins in the Ascot Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup and Lonsdale Cup back at York in August to his Yorkshire Cup win. That is the aim again.
