Maurizio Sarri insists he will leave Chelsea with immediate effect if his work is going to be judged only on the outcome of the Europa League final against Arsenal. Sarri's future is uncertain because fans turned against him when form slumped in midseason and he has emerged among the possible replacements for Max Allegri at Juventus. He parried questions on the Juventus connection, claiming his mind was purely focused on Baku, but the 60-year-old Italian made it clear his first season at Stamford Bridge should not hinge on the outcome of one game. Maurizio Sarri says he will leave if his work is going to be judged only on Europa League final 'If the situation is like this I want to go immediately,' said Sarri at a UEFA press conference. 'You cannot do 10 months of work and then I have to play for everything in 90 minutes. 'It's not right. It's not the right way. You're either happy about my work or you're not happy.' Chelsea recovered to finish third in the Premier League and will be back in the Champions League next season. They lost on penalties to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final and the Europa League is their last chance of a trophy but his style of football has proved unpopular with supporters. 'I can only work,' said Sarri. 'I can only try and improve my team. I can only try to play better, to win more matches. I don't know what to do more. Chelsea boss has emerged among the possible replacements for Max Allegri at Juventus 'I have a two-year contract here and I have no contact with other clubs at the moment. 'I have to speak at my club first of all after the final. I want to know if they are happy with me or not. That is it. 'I am very happy to stay in the Premier League and I think Chelsea is one of the most important clubs in the Premier League. So I'm really very happy but we have to discuss the situation. 'In every season you have to discuss the situation with the club. You do it like this. In my opinion, we had a very good season. Of course we have to do more. We need to improve more. 'As for my football, in the last two years City have won everything in England and their way is not like mine but it is similar. So we can play my football in England.' Arsenal must win the Europa League to qualify for next season's Champions League. 'We risk having less motivation than the opponents but you have to consider the pressure, and they have more pressure on them,' said Sarri. 'There is a positive side and a negative side. Sarri's future is uncertain because fans turned against him when form slumped in midseason 'We didn't want to play this final for a Champions League place. We wanted the Champions League through the Premier League. Then we wanted to win a trophy. So the final is very important for us. 'We aren't playing for Champions League, but we feel we deserve to win a trophy.' Sarri was not happy to have his preparation for the final interrupted by a charity friendly in the United States which was organised by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and raised more than £3million in the fight against Ant-Semitism and other forms of discrimination. His mood darkened when midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek ruptured his achilles tendon during the game against New England Revolution at the Gillette Stadium, where turf had been freshly rolled out across the artificial pitch. 'In Boston, the pitch was really not very good,' said Sarri. 'But in an injury like that, there isn't only one reason. Probably there are a lot of reasons. So we cannot say the only reason is the pitch, of course. Ruben Loftus-Cheek ruptured his achilles tendon against New England Revolution 'Ruben has become a very important player for us, especially in an open match. In the space he is really very useful for us. So I am disappointed. 'I am sure he will be able to return stronger than in the past. He will become, for sure, one of the best midfielders in Europe.' Abramovich was at the game in New England, the first time he had been spotted at a Chelsea game since his UK visa was not renewed last year. 'I spoke with him only for one minute, no more,' said Sarri. 'Only about the condition of Loftus-Cheek.' Such a brief exchange with the owner does not bode well for his future but he expects further talks with the board after the Europa League final. 'My future is the final,' said Sarri when asked about the chance of a return to Italy with Juventus. 'I need to think only about the final at this moment. 'I am not able in this moment to think about next season or more. I am only able to think about the final because my feeling is, for our group, this final is really very important.'
