Jofra Archer insists that home advantage won't aid tournament favourites England at the Cricket World Cup.

The 12th edition of the 50-over showpiece begins on Thursday when England face South Africa at the Kia Oval.

England go into the competition as the No 1 ranked one-day international side following a four-year transformation under head coach Trevor Bayliss and captain Eoin Morgan.

And with the tournament on home soil, England are expected to end their 44-year wait for their first World Cup success.

Archer will be a key component of any glory but the Barbados-born star - who has an English father, British passport and qualified for residency in March - believes there will be no partisan atmosphere among the crowds, citing their recent 4-0 ODI series win against Pakistan as an example.
