Sir Mo Farah has declared his track dream almost certainly over, insisting that he has to be 'smart' if he is to triumph in the marathon at Tokyo 2020.
A month on from finishing a disappointing fifth at the London Marathon, he was still unable to pinpoint exactly what went wrong, but insisted his almighty war of words with Haile Gebrselassie had not impacted him.
Farah returned to winning ways on the road on Monday, albeit over just 10km, and conceded afterwards that it looks unlikely he will return to the track.

Earlier this month he announced he would be bidding to defend his title at the Chicago Marathon in October instead of representing Great Britain at the World Athletics Championships in Doha.
