Russia's hopes of being reinstated in time for the World Championships in Doha in September have suffered a further setback with another potential doping scandal involving senior officials and one of their biggest stars.
Reports in Russia and in the Sunday Times allege that officials falsified documents to protect the high jump world indoor champion Danil Lysenko from sanctions for a failure to provide his whereabouts to drugs testers.
According to the reports, the conspiracy extended to inventing a medical facility, using an address that was actually a demolition site.
