Khabib Nurmagomedov will make his long-awaited return to action at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi on September 7.
He will fight Dustin Poirier, who defeated Max Holloway for the interim lightweight title and the right to face the unbeaten Dagestani.
Khabib last stepped into the octagon in October 2018 for the now infamous UFC 229 victory over Conor McGregor that was marred by a post-fight brawl he sparked by leaping over the cage to attack the Irishman's team-mate Dillon Danis.
