Virgil van Dijk took aim at Tottenham striker Harry Kane after the Champions League final Kane returned from injury for the showpiece in Madrid but struggled to influence the game 'Harry Kane is a fantastic striker, I think one of the best in England and I think he's the best striker England have got for the national team but I know also that if you're not 100% fit it's going to be in your head,' the defender said in his pre-match media conference on Wednesday. 'Obviously I expected him to play in the final but he was not 100%. I expect him to play tomorrow.' It remains unclear whether Kane will lead the line for Gareth Southgate's side but with so many young and exciting players in the ranks, Van Dijk is wary of overlooking the rest of the squad. The pair will renew their rivalry in Portugal when Holland face England in the Nations League On England's recent progress the Liverpool defender said: 'They obviously made good steps, they grew as a team but so did we. 'They have fantastic players all over the pitch. They're just a great team, a great team to watch as well but so are we. 'We're looking very good, we have fantastic players.' More to follow.
