Real Madrid's move for Ferland Mendy has hit a stumbling block with the Spanish club reportedly concerned about the Lyon defender's hip injury.

The two clubs are believed to have agreed a deal for the Frenchman which, including add-ons, would amount to £49million.

However, Los Blancos first want to to establish the extent of the hip problem which Mendy has been complaining
