'We will be prepared': Chelsea loan coach Tore Andre Flo names the five returning loanees who can step up if Blues cannot put transfer ban on hold Europa League winners Chelsea are banned from registering new players The west London club had a request denied to freeze the ban during an appeal Tore Andre Flo believes there are players away on loan who can step up Flo, a former Chelsea striker, works as a technical coach with their loan players By Jack Kinnersley For Mailonline Published: 20:18 BST, 7 June 2019 | Updated: 20:18 BST, 7 June 2019 Viewcomments Chelsea 'loan coach' Tore Andre Flo has put forward five names who can step in if the Blues cannot put their transfer ban on hold this summer. The Europa League winners are banned from registering new players until the summer of 2020 for allegedly breaking rules on the signings of minors from abroad. Chelsea had a request denied to freeze the ban during an appeal in March but have asked the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to grant an interim ruling. Ex-Chelsea striker Tore Andre Flo has put forward five names who can step in for the Blues Flo, who works with the loan players at Chelsea, believes it's not all doom and gloom Norway international Flo made 112 appearances for the Blues between 1997 and 2000 Flo, who works with the loan players at Chelsea, believes it's not all doom and gloom however as there are players away on temporary deals who can step up if required. The former forward told Sportsmail: 'Obviously, if this happens [the transfer ban] this summer we will be prepared for it. 'We have a good system in place. The work I do with the players out on loan, might be given a go who are considered to be doing a good job. If that happens I think Chelsea will still be up there. 'There are players that have done well. Tammy Abraham, Reece James, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and Kurt Zouma. But it’s up to the manager who he decides.' Reece James has drawn rave reviews for his performances at Wigan this season Twenty-one-year-old Fikayo Tomori made over 50 appearances at centre-back as the Rams Nineteen-year-old right-back, James has drawn rave reviews for his performances at Wigan last season and has been tipped to replace Cesar Azpilicueta in the future. Midfielder Mount, 20, scored 11 goals and set up six for his team-mates during his season-long loan spell under Chelsea legend Frank Lampard at Derby. Mount's Derby colleague Tomori, 21, made over 50 appearances at centre-back as the Rams reached the Championship play-off final last campaign. Another one of Flo's tips to reach the top is 24-year-old Zouma, who played over 30 games for Marco Silva's Everton in the 2018-19 season. Kurt Zouma played over 30 games for Marco Silva's Everton in the 2018-19 season Mason Mount scored 11 goals and set up six for his team-mates during his loan spell at Derby One player that really sticks out for Flo is Abraham, who spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Championship play-off winners Aston Villa where he shone for Dean Smith's side. The 21-year-old has only made three appearances for Chelsea having spent the last three seasons on loan since graduating from the youth side. Flo, who made 112 appearances for the Blues between 1997 and 2000, believes Abraham is ready to make that next step if the Blues cannot sign a forward this summer. Flo said: 'He’s done a great job scoring, 26 goals. He’s definitely put his name into discussion.' Sure is an official partner of Chelsea Football Club.
