Dan Evans's build-up to Wimbledon had the perfect launch when he won the first tournament of this year's grass court season on the lawns of south west London.

The 29-year-old from Birmingham survived a rain delay after the first set to defeat Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-2, 6-3 and win the £100,000 Surbiton Trophy.
