Darts legend and 16-time world champion Phil Taylor has lost an exhibition match to 13-year-old Leighton Bennett at the SAP Darts Slam in Germany.

Taylor, who retired from competitive darts last year, lost 4-1 to the youngster but was in good spirits during the encounter in Frankfurt.

Following his victory, Bennett struggled to hide his emotions as he jumped up and down before describing the feeling of winning to 'waking up on Christmas morning'.
