The Gunners goalkeeper spent last season on loan at the Stadio San Paolo, but fell just ONE game short of the 25 needed to automatically move to the Serie A side. That leaves the goalkeeper in a precarious position, unaware whether he will stay at Napoli or have to return to Arsenal for pre-season. David Ospina (right), currently on international duty with Colombia, is unsure of his future The Arsenal goalkeeper played 24 times on loan at Napoli in the Italian top flight last season And now, according to The Sun, Arsenal have told Napoli that they must make a decision on the goalkeeper and whether they want to exercise the £3.1million purchase clause by Saturday. The paper report that Arsenal believe Napoli want to sign the 30-year-old goalkeeper, but only want to pay around £2m for a player with a year left on his current contract. Arsenal, though, are unwilling to lower their valuation and believe a number of top-flight Spanish clubs would be willing to shell out upwards of £3m. The retirement of Petr Cech at the end of the season has left Arsenal with a goalkeeper spot to fill, so it may be that Ospina returns to the Emirates to act as a back-up for Bernd Leno. Napoli, and manager Carlo Ancelotti, are understood to want to pay less than the £3.1m fee Ospina may return to the Emirates to be understudy to Bernd Leno (pictured) next season Read more: Share or comment on this article: All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
