Manchester United face renewed competition for the signature of Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes as Atletico Madrid are reportedly planning to make a £44.6million bid for the Portugal international next week.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are monitoring Fernandes as they seek to recruit two midfielders, one creative and one defensive, and as Sportsmail revealed earlier this week, they were given a boost by news that Tottenham had joined Manchester City in distancing themselves from Fernandes.
But according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, it is Atletico who are planning to make the first-move by preparing a €50m bid (£44.6m), which could rise to €60m (£53.5m) with add-ons.
