Scotland 3-3 Argentina: DISASTER for Shelley Kerr's side as they crash out of the World Cup after blowing a three-goal lead in final 15 minutes Scotland were eliminated from the World Cup after suffering a catastrophic collapse in their final group game Shelley Kerr's side took the lead when Kim Little slide the ball into the net after an Erin Cuthbert cross Jenn Beattie doubled Scotland's lead with a bullet header from a Caroline Weir delivery after half-time Cuthbert then scored a deserved goal of her own on 69 minutes with a well-taken poacher's finish Scotland looked home and dry until Milagros Menendez pulled a goal back with 15 minutes left to play Florencia Bonsegundo then grabbed a second and heightened Scottish nerves with a whipped strike Disaster then struck for the Scots after a VAR review led to an Argentina a penalty with seconds left Bonsegundo stepped up to take but it was SAVED by Lee Alexander who denied the follow up attempt too But VAR intervened and the penalty had to be retaken as Alexander had stepped off the goal line Bonsegundo stepped up again to break Scottish hearts by slotting the ball straight down the middle
