Manchester United are keen to sign 22-year-old West Ham defender Issa Diop this summer According to Sky Sports, Diop's representatives will hold talks with West Ham about the defender's future next week with the club willing to discuss a pay-rise. Diop, who signed a five-year contract last summer when he arrived from Toulouse in a £22m move, is said to be happy at West Ham despite interest from the Red Devils. West Ham appeared to mock United's interest in their star defender earlier this week when the club tweeted a video of his highlights from the 2018-19 season. But the defender looks set to stay in Stratford and pen an improved contract with the Hammers The video — which featured footage of Diop tackling Harry Kane and scoring goals against Wimbledon and Fulham — was captained with the message: 'We've got Diop, Issa Diop, I just don't think you understand...' Diop started 33 Premier League games during his first Premier League season. West Ham finished 11th in the table but are now looking to push on, having signed Pablo Fornals from Villarreal for £24m.
