Andersen has attracted interest from multiple top clubs after a fine Serie A season in which he started 32 matches. Arsenal were said be interested in the 23-year-old although a valuation of £31.2million is likely to cause them problems. Danish defender Joachim Andersen has admitted he is keen to leave Sampdoria this summer Sampdoria will be reluctant to lower their asking price, while Andersen has made it clear he hopes his current club will receive a healthy transfer fee. He told Goal: 'It could be time for me to further my career. I have loved my time in Sampdoria – the fans, the president, the staff, the players, the city – but maybe it's time to move on to develop further. 'There are a number of interested clubs from Europe's biggest leagues who are discussing with my agent and I'll be making a decision shortly together with my family and my agent. 'It's very important to me that Sampdoria can also benefit from an eventual transfer. It's not all about me. 'I have so much to thank this great club for. Without Sampdoria, I wouldn't have had the opportunities I have had to this point.' North London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal have both shown interest in 23-year-old Andersen Andersen, who began his senior career in Holland with FC Twente, wants to test himself in a new environment. He explained: 'I have dreams of playing in the biggest clubs in the world and the biggest leagues in the world – I'm lucky enough to already be playing in one of them. 'I think I have a pretty broad football education and I don't see why I shouldn't be able to adopt to most leagues – but I'm not saying it would be easy.' The pace of the Premier League is widely considered faster than in Serie A, but 6ft 4in Andersen is confident he can adapt to whatever challenge presents itself. He added: 'My position is good and of course I'm pretty tall, which gives me an advantage in the air. I'm not going to tell you what I had to work on – let the strikers see if they can find out themselves!' Tottenham's interest in Andersen is expected to intensify if they lose Toby Alderweireld this summer. The 30-year-old Belgian has a clause in his current contract which makes him available for just £25m in the final two weeks of the transfer window.
