Sportsmail understands representatives from Old Trafford are scheduled to meet counterparts from Selhurst Park, an indication a deal is very close. There is now a growing inevitability that the right-back’s switch to United will go through in the coming days. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is currently on international duty with the England Under 21s in Italy The latest talks are designed to iron out the finer details of Wan-Bissaka’s pending switch to join up with Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer’s side but - barring a last minute hitch - both clubs should leave the meeting with a deal in place. It remains to be seen whether England Under 21 boss Aidy Bothroyd will allow Wan-Bissaka to complete the formalities of his switch north during international duty. The defender is currently at the European Under 21 Championships in Italy but has endured a difficult start to the tournament, scoring a stoppage time own goal to consign England to a 2-1 defeat by France in their opening match. Wan-Bissaka enjoyed an outstanding campaign at boyhood club Palace in 2018-19, making 39 appearances in all competitions. He broke into the first-team setup under Roy Hodgson the previous season, making his debut in February 2018 in a 1-0 defeat by Tottenham.
