Salford City's first ever League Cup tie will be against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United when the new season begins in August.
The Carabao Cup first round draw, which bizarrely took place in a Morrisons store near Wembley Stadium, also threw together fierce rivals AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons.
Salford, who are back by Manchester United's Class of '92 legends including Gary and Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham, won promotion to the Football League for the first time last season.
