The responsibility of keeping England in a tournament might seem daunting to some but pressure is something Dominic Calvert-Lewin wants to embrace.
He makes this point frequently during the course of this conversation. Calvert-Lewin is here to discuss England's prospects of remaining in the Under-21 European Championships but a measure of his confidence comes when the subject of squad numbers arises.
Calvert-Lewin was assigned No 19 for the campaign in Italy and he will wear it when England tackle Romania on Friday in a game they simply must win. Wouldn't a young man who finished the domestic season on a high have preferred the No 9 shirt?

'I'd like it more at Everton next season!' comes the enthusiastic reply. 'To be honest it doesn't bother me what number I have on my back as long as I'm on the pitch effecting the game where I can. I want to be the man that can hopefully lead England to victory.'
