Much was made of the India captain's plea to his team's supporters to stop booing Australia's Steve Smith but a greater act of sportsmanship followed against Pakistan. 

Kohli's instinctive decision to walk after 'edging' a short ball from Mohammad Amir was admirable. Unfortunately, it transpired he hadn't actually touched the ball, which will only discourage other players from following suit.
