Lindelof has matured into the club's most trusted centre back after impressing last term, following a difficult first season at Old Trafford. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Swede could be prised away should Barcelona's No 1 target, 19-year-old De Ligt, opt to sign for Juventus, which has been widely reported in recent weeks. Barcelona could turn to Victor Lindelof should Matthijs de Ligt not move to the Nou Camp It looks as though Ajax captain De Ligt could now move to Juventus this summer De Ligt is expected to command a £62million fee given how quickly the Ajax captain's stock has risen over the last 12 months. The Dutch centre back guided Ajax to the Eredivisie title and Champions League semi-final last season, but is certain for pastures new next term. His former team-mate in Amsterdam, Frenkie de Jong, has already sealed a £65m move to Barcelona, but De Ligt has seemingly rejected the chance to join him. And, according to the Spanish outlet, it means United could face a battle to keep hold of their most consistent defender with Barcelona set to turn their attention to their No 2 target Lindelof. The Sweden international has become a fan favourite at Old Trafford after a series of impressive displays at the heart of the Red Devils' defence last season. The 24-year-old moved from Benfica for £31m in 2017 and will likely be a far cheaper alternative for La Liga champions Barcelona should they tempt him away from Manchester.
