Ipswich Town might be accused of not doing a thorough scouting job after announcing their latest signing.
The club jokingly tweeted that they had signed twitter user 'Ahmed37905063' after he requested the club offer him a contract on the social media platform.
The League One club had posted a picture of a real recruit, Tomas Holy, in training for the first time before Ahmed replied.

A fan responded by imploring the club to offer the unknown Kenyan talent a first team contract
And sure enough, Ipswich replied by saying they had announced the signing of the twitter user
Local reporter Stuart Watson of the East Anglian Daily Times also chipped in on the joke
He then wrote: 'Hello, am Kenyan 20 years old and I play LW/RW/CAM, please sign me and I promise to give my best and add more depth to the squad.'
