Organisers of the City Racing concept have plans in place to announce a meeting in Britain later this year providing they receive a licence to stage it from the BHA.

That decision from the sport’s ruling body could be made within the next 10 days and would give the green light to racing’s equivalent of T20 cricket.

While City Racing have said its dream race would be up The Mall and past Buckingham Palace, the first race would not be in London.
