Wales have left the door ajar for Ellis Jenkins to make a late return in time for the World Cup.
The 26-year-old flanker suffered a horror-knee injury last November in the final minute of the Test against South Africa and has not played since.
And while Wales' options in the back-row are plentiful - with Ross Moriarty, Josh Navidi, Justin Tipuric, the returning Taulupe Faletau, Aaron Wainwright, Aaron Shingler and James Davies all vying for spots - Jenkins is still on the radar for Japan.
