Hellas Verona have insisted their supporters did not racially abuse AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Milan ran out 1-0 winners at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Sunday but the game soon became overshadowed by allegations of 'monkey noises' being made towards the Ivorian midfielder.
But Hellas Verona looked to tackle the topic head on by issuing a statement through their social media accounts on Monday morning.

A statement from the club denied claims as they called for 'more respect for Veronese people'
: 'The boos to Kessie? The insults to Donnarumma? Perhaps someone's been dazed by the decibels of the Gialloblu fans.
