Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to add a new dimension to his backroom team by bringing in former Porto coach Vitor Matos.

In a role that was previously held by the highly-rated Pep Lijnders - before he was promoted to be Klopp's assistant - Matos, according to the Liverpool Echo, would help smooth the transition from academy to the first team.

The deal is believed to not yet be complete but the club and Matos are reported to be in 'advanced talks' about his arrival.
