Manchester United have made Declan Rice their top priority signing for next season and could even make a move for the West Ham star in January - if they can stump up £80million.
The midfielder has gained a host of admirers after his combative displays in the middle of the park for the Hammers over the last few seasons, a run of form that has seen him break into Gareth Southgate's England team.
The Red Devils have been in the market for a defensive-minded midfielder after losing Ander Herrera on a free to PSG in the summer, with the likes of Fred and Nemanja Matic struggling to impress at Old Trafford.
Declan Rice has became a key player for West Ham and has featured 78 times for the club
Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini also departed this calendar year, joining Chinese Premier League outfit Shandong Luneng in January, while the future of Paul Pogba continues to be unclear as reports link him with a switch to Real Madrid.
