Simon Mignolet has revealed he left Liverpool because he didn't believe he could compete with Alisson for a starting spot.
The 31-year-old left the Reds in August to sign for Club Brugge in a £6.4million deal after six years at Anfield, and he maintains the time was right to move on.
The Belgian joined the Reds from Sunderland in 2013 and enjoyed regular first team football until Alisson's arrival from Roma in 2018; a deal which was arguably the catalyst for Liverpool's recent success.
