Cake is on the menu for Conor McGregor as he attempts to pile on the pounds for his UFC return at welterweight next year - but the fighter insists he won't touch a takeaway meal.

The Irishman has not fought since a defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 last October, but has signed to fight Donald Cerrone on January 18, and gave fans an insight into his diet as he steps up preparations for his comeback.

McGregor said he tries to eat wholesome food with greens, vegetables and plenty of protein to help him recover after intense training sessions.
