Carl Frampton overcame pain from the hand he re-fractured in training camp to cruise to a unanimous points win over American Tyler McCreary and set himself up for a shot at becoming Ireland's first ever three-weight world champion.

Against an unbeaten opponent in Las Vegas, Frampton earned a 100-88 victory on all three judges' scorecards before revealing he had been working cautiously to avoid severely injuring his weak hand, which became troublesome again in the second round of the fight.
