Christian Eriksen has reportedly told new boss Jose Mourinho to his face that he wants to leave Tottenham and is eager for a new challenge after six years with the Premier League side. 

Upon taking charge of Tottenham, Mourinho was eager to understand whether the Denmark playmaker could be convinced that his future remained at the club.

But, according to The Athletic, Eriksen reiterated his desire to depart, despite his respect for Mourinho.
