Bernardo Silva has been comforted by his Portugal team-mates over his controversial tweet to Benjamin Mendy, Joao Mario has confirmed.
Silva was slapped with a one-match ban and fined £50,000 for a social media post that was deemed offensive to his close friend and Manchester City team-mate Mendy.
In September, the 25-year-old sparked controversy when he posted a photo of Mendy as a child next to an image of the black cartoon mascot for Spanish chocolate peanut brand Conguitos with the message: 'Guess who?'
