West Ham chiefs want to consult the club’s players before making a final decision on Manuel Pellegrini’s future.

The Chilean’s position as head coach is under threat following Monday’s 3-1 home defeat by Arsenal — a result that leaves West Ham one point above the Premier League relegation zone.

It is understood the club’s hierarchy, including co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold, discussed Pellegrini’s future on Tuesday as they consider making a change.
