Peter Crouch has admitted he felt 'degraded' during his final season at Burnley after only being used as a late substitute to win headers.

Crouch joined Burnley from Stoke last January but struggled to nail down a starting berth at Turf Moor, finishing the season with just six Premier League appearances.

The former striker thought he could have offered more, and was let go at the end of the season, precipitating his decision to call time on his career.
