Manchester City spent just 15 minutes practising the formation that schooled Manchester United on Tuesday night.
United failed to grasp Pep Guardiola’s system as he operated with no recognised striker during the 3-1 Carabao Cup semi-final first leg victory at Old Trafford.
City went in at half-time with a commanding three-goal lead and Kevin De Bruyne revealed the team had barely worked on tactics beforehand.
