Zion Williamson has wasted no time in becoming the focal point of the New Orleans Pelicans team as he produced another colossal performance to ensure victory against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies, led by No 2 draft pick Ja Morant, have been one of the surprises of the season as they remain firmly in contention for a play-off berth in the Western Conference this season.
But Williamson and the Pelicans are gathering momentum and will take belief from their 139-111 win at their Smoothie King Arena.

A lot of the attention focused on the two rookies given it was the first time they would go head-to-head with each other on an NBA court.
And after the game was concluded and it was Williamson and his team-mates celebrating by throwing water in the changing room with coach Alvin Gentry, Williamson and Morant exchanged jerseys and posed for photographers.
They wanted to show that there is no ill-will between them as they both push to lead their teams into the NBA play-offs in their rookie season.

'You can't even imagine moments like that, man,' Williamson told reporters after the 139-111 win.
'Like I said, we were two role players. I think one tournament - AAU tournament - me and him both averaged 30 or something when our main player wasn't there, but we never saw each other being the No 1 and 2 pick, playing against each other and swapping jerseys.
'You can't imagine stuff like that, so it was a great moment. I'm real close with him. You just can't create stuff like that.'
