Roma head coach Paulo Fonseca is keen to sign on-loan duo Chris Smalling and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to permanent deals in the summer.
The Premier League pair joined the Serie A club on-loan last summer, with Manchester United defender Smalling in particular impressing with 26 appearances in all competitions, including two goals.
Arsenal forward Mkhitaryan was out-of-favour with previous Gunners boss Unai Emery and it is unknown whether he could feature in Mikel Arteta's plans next season - yet Fonseca wants both to stay in the Italian capital.
