The goalkeeper collected a pass from Harry Maguire in the early stages of the fixture on Merseyside, and appeared set to launch a long ball forward and spark a United attack.
But after hesitating inside the penalty area, de Gea's eventual clearance ricocheted against Calvert-Lewin and nestled into the back of the net -
