Captain Tom Moore has backed Lewis Hamilton to win a record-equaling seventh Formula One world championship when the series resumes following the coronavirus-enforced shutdown.

Moore, who became a national hero in raising more than £30million for the NHS by walking 100 laps of his garden just weeks before his 100th birthday, has been a longtime fan of motor racing.

The sport, like most others around the globe, is currently postponed with hopes of it restarting in Austria on July 3.
